How do I know if my patients/clients are eligible?

Please contact the service you are interested in (see service web pages for details) and our administrators will tell you whether or not your patient is eligible.

What your patients/clients can expect

Your patients/clients can expect a non-judgemental, holistic approach to their treatment. Everyone’s experience will differ as treatment will be tailored to individual needs. Our staff have expertise across the range of disciplines and we offer a wide range of treatments.

Some patients/clients will be seen for assessment only and will not receive treatment: we may refer them elsewhere, recommending alternative treatment providers. Treatment can last anywhere between a few weeks to a few years for our most complex patients, although we usually see people for a few months. Some patients will be seen once a week, some three times a week and some will be seen in group therapy rather than individually.

We offer flexible appointment times anywhere between early morning and late evening. We try to ensure our patients can fit their treatment around work, school and family life. We actively engage with our patients and the public to ensure our services are responsive and patient-centred.

Where do we deliver treatment?

We are based in Camden. Our services are delivered in one of our therapeutic spaces, these include the Tavistock Centre and the Portman Clinic in Swiss Cottage. Where possible we offer treatment in the community. We often see children in schools and GP practices in Camden and other local boroughs in London, and have outreach clinics in the heart of Camden. We can also provide clinical services in other boroughs where we have access to clinical space.

Our waiting lists for assessment are under 11 weeks. However, some of our more popular services, such as couples therapy, can have a longer waiting list. Our staff are trained to understand the impact of culture, class, ethnicity, gender, disability and language, and our staff group comes from a diverse background.

We offer

  • fully confidential clinical services
  • a range of high quality patient information leaflets
  • a complete PALS services and a robust complaints handling process
