Our research reflects our focus on the use of systemic/family therapy and psychodynamic/analytical therapy.
Such therapies assume that the personality of the therapist forms a key part of the clinical work. The theories behind these therapies do assume common elements across people but there is a much larger emphasis on personal uniqueness than is found in other treatment types. For example other therapies such as cognitive and behavioural therapies or medication-based treatment.
This makes our research unique.
