Volunteer to share your story with us
We want as many people as possible to be able to access high-quality talking treatments for their emotional health problems. We are always looking to collect positive stories about how our talking therapies have helped you or a member of your family in order to promote these treatments in the community and in the media.
How we can use your stories
We understand that sadly there is still some stigma and discrimination in society around mental health and you may be concerned about sharing your story for fear of what others may think. There are a number of ways in which you can share your story and comments and some of these can be completely confidential. You can:
- Send us your positive comments so we can put them on our website, newsletters and leaflets. You could include your full details and a photo, or just some details such as your first name and age, or you can keep it completely anonymous.
- Be interviewed by our Communications Specialist, Georgina Selby, to get your story in one of our newsletters. Again, we could include details and a photo, or we could keep the article anonymous if you prefer.
- Become a media volunteer by sharing your story with us so that we can use it in a feature for a magazine or newspaper. This is likely to include a photo of you but if you’re story is particularly sensitive we may be able to make the article anonymous. When sharing your story for a magazine or newspaper you will be supported by our communications team.
If you are interested in sharing your story with us, please contact Georgina Selby at gselby@tavi-port.nhs.uk or 020 8938 2228.
Alternatively, if you are unhappy about your treatment, or a member of your family’s treatment, you should follow our complaints procedure.
