The Power of Relationship:
A study of key working as an intervention with traumatised young people.
What is the study about?
This study interviewed young people and key workers to explore the role of the key working relationship in helping traumatised young people.
As well as supporting the important therapeutic function of the key working relationship, the study provided the basis for describing the Kids Company distinctive model of key worker intervention which can then be replicated elsewhere.
What will the impact of the study be – how has it made a difference?
This study helps us to understand what is felt to be helpful by both young people and the staff working with them.
This then provides a basis for developing training for key workers.
