Service for parents/carers of adolescents or young people

Who is this service for?

The Parents’ and Carers’ Consultation Service offers free and confidential consultations to single parents and parental couples who are experiencing conflict or other emotional difficulties in the relationship between themselves and young people in the 14 - 25 age group.

If you are a parent experiencing difficulties with a teenager or young adult and would like to talk it over in a confidential consultation, please call us.

Kinds of treatment offered

We can offer up to six hour-long meetings, aimed at helping parents develop a new perspective on the difficult situations with which they are faced. The consultation may also include some discussion of the ordinary processes of adolescent development.

The Parents' and Carers’ Consultation Service accepts telephone self-referrals on the number above and written professional referrals.
