Who service is for
Families with complex child protection concerns, where there are serious problems in terms of safety and stability.
Why refer to the service?
We understand that the assessment of families is very stressful, and we aim to engage with families and gain their co-operation so they can demonstrate their capacity to change.
Our services are staffed by a multi-disciplinary group with contributions from child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, social work and psychotherapy. The teams work closely together in order to make the most of different team members' expertise and skills.
Kinds of treatment are offered
- The service carries out complex expert assessment for courts in civil or criminal proceedings tailored to the needs of the case
- Mediation for couples and families in Private Law disputes
- Rapid Assessment of Contact needs for children entering the care system
- Contact Supervision for families within Care Proceedings, specialising in high-risk child protection supervision
- Treatment for families and individuals within Care Proceedings
- Bespoke training in complex multi-disciplinary family assessment for the courts
- Consultation to Local Authority social work teams about complex cases
- The service also offers individual and family therapy for children and adults.

All professionals are welcome to call our administrator to arrange a time to speak with a clinician when considering a referral.
For reasons of confidentiality, we cannot accept referral forms by email. When you fax or post your referral form to us it will be allocated to one of the team’s clinicians.
