Change for Children - Every Child Matters (DfCSF) extols the importance of partnership and integrated working across agencies working with children, young people and their families and the establishment of Lead professionals to co-ordinate such work.
At the same time, partnership working takes place in an increasingly turbulent climate, and is subject to increasing scrutiny and debate.
This conference acknowledges the potential difficulties of putting into practice such aspirations and recognises the need for staff development, if these aspirations are to be fulfilled.
At whatever level we work and tasks we undertake, we have responsibility for the roles we take up in caring for children
and families in the context of inter-agency partnerships.
This working conference will explore the ways in which we negotiate effective authorisation of role, and maintain presence in relation to these tasks and how this influences the effectiveness of our work.
Closing date *extended*
The closing date has been extended to 22 March 2010, however there are only a few places left available.
