Interim research findings

In this section:

The Nuffield Foundation and the Home Office have funded a two-year independent evaluation of FDAC at Brunel University.

Evaluation objectives are:

  • compare FDAC with standard court process and service delivery
  • compare costs
  • compare child and parental interim outcomes between FDAC and standard court and services
  • identify set-up and implementation lessons.

A full report will be provided to the Nuffield Foundation in July 2010. However, Nuffield have published their interim findings based on information collected so far. This report presents interim findings from the evaluation of the first pilot Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) in Britain. You can read the summary of key issues and findings in the report attached.
